PROJECT overview
“Air-Chive – Atmosphere Sensory Chamber (Aroma Version)” by Han Hanraisy is an interactive installation explores climate futures using air and scent as its primary mediums. The artwork critiques the human tendency to exploit nature as a mere resource, repositioning it instead as a living archive that holds ecological memory and identity. Through the scent of extracted forest vegetation, the work connects past landscapes, present realities, and future projections.
The presence of carbon fluid symbolizes rising emissions while serving as a critique of climate policies prone to greenwashing. Enhanced by LED light within two glass tubes in a darkened room, the movement of particles inside invites visitors to reflect on the interconnectedness of humanity, biodiversity, and the climate crisis.
